Mustang throw out bearing noise

The clutch return spring is there, hooked to a hole in the frame. Spring looks a little old and rusty, but could be working normal for all I know. Maybe the spring isn't fully releasing the clutch pedal arm and not pulling the throwout bearing all the way from the diaphragm? Could try a new spring. That, plus I'd rather be shot than take my car to a dealer for anything. The only time a throwout bearing will make noise is if the bearing is gaulted and the pedal is depressed and the throwout bearing is holding the clutch disengaged. My pedal makes the noise whether the engine is running or not. It's definitely in the pedal assembly.

I'm not sure what it is, I took it in to my shop and they told me it was the throw out bearing. The noise is made with the clutch pushed in AND out, so idk if it's the TOB. It happens when revving the car, as well as when driving normally. It happens the most when driving and you clutch in, sometimes it happens when accelerating in gear.

THE CAUSE: In the operation of the clutch, the release or throw-out bearing slides on the clutch snout or quill, allowing you to engage and disc-engage the clutch mechanism. Due to various reasons the quill becomes grooved over time. If the quill were made of a harder metal than aluminum, this would not be as common. The clutch pedal should have free travel (measured at clutch pedal pad) before the throwout bearing engages the clutch diaphragm spring levers (Pressure plate fingers). Lash is required to prevent clutch slippage which would occur if the bearing was held against the fingers or to prevent the bearing from running continually until failure. Using stock replacement parts from Eckler's, such as this clutch throwout bearing, is a sound investment in the restoration or repair of your Corvette.
